Treatment of infants, children, and adolescents with special health care needs
Dr. Filstrup is specialty trained in treating infants, children and adolescents with special health care needs. Dr. Filstrup had extensive training at the University of Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan and at C.S. Mott Children’s Health Center in Flint, Michigan.
She also served as a staff dentist at Bay Cliff Health Camp, an overnight summer camp for individuals with special health care needs, performing both preventive and restorative dentistry daily for campers. Bay Cliff Health Camp is a therapy and wellness center committed to promoting health, happiness and independence for people of all ages living with disabilities, located in Michigan’s picturesque Upper Peninsula on Lake Superior.
Dr. Filstrup delivers care safely, compassionately and in coordination with your child’s other health care professionals. This “team approach” provides individualized, coordinated care for your child. Dr. Filstrup and her team members are trained to meet your child’s needs to ensure that your child feels safe, comfortable and confident to come to the dentist and to ensure that your child’s smile is healthy and beautiful.
